Report says deal makes him highest-paid player in league history. Terry McCormick
Joe Flacco's all-in gamble has paid off big time as he has agreed to a new six-year contract to remain with the Baltimore Ravens.
Contract language still has to be agreed upon and finalized, but Flacco is expected to sign the deal on Monday. ESPN reported that the deal is worth $120.6 million, which would make Flacco the highest-paid player in league history.
Flacco and his agent Joe Linta decided against negotiating an extension before the season and the risk turned into great reward both for Flacco and the Ravens, as he guided the club to a Super Bowl championship and was the MVP of the title game.
