Florida State lands rising Class of 2013 running back

Running back Ryan Green became the 12th member of Florida State's Class of 2013 when he committed to play for Jimbo Fisher and Co. on Friday night after his second trip to Tallahassee.

The 5-10, 187-pound Under Armour All-American chose Florida State over Auburn, Notre Dame, Florida and Clemson.

The Saint Petersburg Catholic High School (St. Petersburg, FL) product was one of the fastest-rising uncommitted prospects before giving his verbal to FSU. His versatility made him one of the more intriguing rising seniors in the nation, as he will play as a slot receiver and return specialist in the 2013 Under Armour All-American Game. He was ranked No. 15 on the NFP's Top 20 uncommitted prospects list, which was released earlier this week.

Green rushed for 1,171 yards and 15 touchdowns and also added three touchdowns on kick returns in 2011.
