Forecast looks good for Super Bowl

With recent temperatures reaching below 30 degrees on the East Coast, there was some worry that Sunday's Super Bowl could be a snowy or icy mess.

But with the game three days away, it appears the outlook weather-wise is positive.

As of now, the high for Sunday is expected to be 46 degrees in East Rutherford, N.J., which would indicate the game will at least kick off in the 40s. The low for the day will be 26. Winds are expected to be between 6-8 mph.

If the Super Bowl is played without any major weather interfering, then this could be good news for other cold-weather cities that wish to host a Super Bowl outdoors.

In the NFL's history, the game has primarily been relegated to warm-weather outdoor stadiums and domes. This could open up the country's biggest event to many more venues.
