Kurt Vollers, an offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts, has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for trafficking marijuana.

Vollers was sentenced on Friday, according to Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas, and will be required to surrender on March 20.

Vollers was convicted of taking part in a ring that was trafficking hydroponic marijuana in Texas. A co-defendant who headed up the ring received a sentence of more than 24 years.

Former Cowboys and Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd will be on trial soon on drug trafficking conspiracy charges.
