Former Miami football player Glenn Sharpe has been arrested on murder charges in Georgia, according to CBS Miami.
The station is reporting that the 28-year-old Sharpe is accused of killing Christopher Galloway on February 20 at his home near Stone Mountain, Ga. Officers from the DeKalb County Sheriff's office arrested Sharpe on Thursday at his home without incident.
Sharpe, who earned a Super Bowl ring with the New Orleans Saints as a practice squad player, is accused of shooting Galloway three times.
The defensive back was named the Brian Piccolo Award winner by the ACC in 2006 after coming back from two serious injuries. He was also involved in the controversial pass interference call in overtime that helped Ohio State beat Miami 31-24 in the 2003 BCS national championship game.
