While Jon Gruden wants no part of the coaching carousel, brother Jay Gruden has suddenly become a hot commodity.

With Cincinnati's season ending on Sunday in a loss to San Diego, CBS Sports reported that Gruden's name has surfaced as a candidate for the open head coaching positions with the Vikings, Lions, Redskins and Titans.

All of the franchises have requested permission to interview Gruden for their vacancies.

Gruden is known around the league as a skilled coordinator, even though his team has had its fair share of meltowns on Sundays. But sometimes a coach is only as good as his personnel.

With the Bengals, that very well could be the case.

Even so, the Bengals' offense did finish the 2013 regular season 10th in the NFL with an average of 368.2 total yards per game.
