Former Chicago Bears safety Tom Zbikowski and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Brandon McDonald have been suspended by the NFL.
Both are free agents.
Zbikowski was suspended for the next four weeks of the regular season for violating the NFL performance-enhancing drug policy, and McDonald was suspended for the next two weeks for violating the NFL personal-conduct policy.
Under NFL rules, both have to be reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell before they are eligible to sign with a team.
Zbikowski is a former Baltimore Ravens third-round draft pick who has also started for the Indianapolis Colts.
McDonald has 31 career starts. He has also played for the Cleveland Browns, Arizojna Cardinals and Detroit Lions.
