Fujita acknowledges career could be over

Veteran Scott Fujita will be the Cleveland Browns honorary captain on Sunday when the Browns host the Chargers.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the veteran linebacker became emotional at the news and could be bracing for the end of his long-time NFL career due to a neck injury.

Although he was emotional, Fujita wasn't quite ready to turn the page and embrace the possibility of retirement just yet.

"It's still too early," he said. "I'm still digesting the news of being put on IR and the injury and everything else, so it's a little too early to rush into a decision like that. I need time, I need to breathe a little bit, get back with my family and keep all options open with my doctors in time."
