Gabbert does light throwing, takes no snaps

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert did some light throwing on Monday, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.

However, he did not take any snaps from center as he is trying to recover from a hairline fracture in his thumb in time to start the Jaguars' opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Gabbert, who had the thumb wrapped, suffered the injury in preseason just before he was named the Jaguars' starting quarterback for 2013, beating out Chad Henne, who would start if Gabbert is unable to go on Sunday.
