Second-year QB fires pair of TD passes in win over Saints. Terry McCormick
The Blaine Gabbert that the Jacksonville Jaguars hoped they were getting when tey made him the 10th overall pick last year was on displayed Friday night in a 27-24 road win against the New Orleans Saints.
Gabbert's numbers were solid, as he hit on 13 of 16 throws for 112 yards and fired two touchdowns, including one to his new No. 1 receiver, rookie first-round pick Justin Blackmon for Jacksonville's first score.
If Gabbert can carry over that type of effort into the regular season, it will go a long way toward making people forget his terrible rookie season.
