Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who struggled plenty in his first NFL season, revealed that he played most of the 2011 season with a toe injury, says Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union.
Gabbert did not specify exactly what type of toe injury he had.
One of Gabbert's biggest woes on the field as a rookie was his pocket presence. Given his questionable ability to be steady on his feet in the face of a pass rush, one can only image how well the unsure rookie could have danced around in the pocket with two healthy feet.
