Austin Anderson of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, is in rookie camp with the Indianapolis Colts this weekend, according to the Indianapolis Star.
The significance of that is that he is the son of long-time NFL kicker Gary Anderson, who kicked for 23 years in the league with the Steelers, Eagles, 49ers, Vikings and Titans.
Austin Anderson is hopeful that he can show enough to sign with the Colts to get into training camp. In that event, he would likely be used to alleviate the workload on veteran Adam Vinatieri in camp and preseason.
