New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith came through in the clutch, leading his team to a 30-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night.

Smith delivered three touchdown passes and orchestrated a game-winning drive capped by a 43-yard Nick Folk field goal.

"It's always been a dream of mine since I was a kid to be in those situations," Smith told reporters.

On the decisive drive, Smith completed four consecutive passes and had an eight-yard run.

Smith completed 16 of 20 passes for 199 yards.

"My confidence is always sky-high," Smith said. "Nothing can bring me down."
