The Philadelphia Eagles do not have a shortage of quarterbacks on the roster.
But that isn’t stopping them from taking a close look at what is out there.
To that end, Geno Smith is making a pre-draft visit to Philadelphia today, according to Albert Breer of NFL.com. He was in Kansas City to meet the Chiefs, who hold the No. 1 pick, on Tuesday. Philadelphia holds the fourth selection in the draft.
Right now, the Eagles have five quarterbacks under contract. Michael Vick restructured his deal to remain with the club. Nick Foles, Dennix Dixon, Trent Edwards and G.J. Kinne are also in the fold. It would be surprising if the team took more than four passers to training camp.
The Eagles made headlines last month when all of the organization’s power brokers made the journey to West Virginia to put Smith through a private workout.
