Geno Smith will stick around for Round 2 after all

Geno Smith isn’t going anywhere.

After sitting through 32 picks Thursday night without having his name called, the West Virginia quarterback will return to Radio City Music Hall for the second night of the draft, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Reports Thursday night indicated Smith might have been headed out of town. But instead he will attend the draft again. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers offered some encouragement to Smith during his fall that saw him go unpicked.

Maybe Smith will not wait long this time. The Jacksonville Jaguars would seem like an ideal fit for him and they hold the top pick of the round at No. 33.
