Things could be looking up for George Paton in St. Louis.

The director of player personnel for the Minnesota Vikings is getting a second interview with the Rams for the general manager job. Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that second interview could happen as early as today.

Paton is well regarded in league circles and has a deep background with previous stops in Miami and Chicago. The Rams have also talked to Ron Hill, Lake Dawson, Joey Clinkscales and Steve Keim.

It’s not known if other candidates are involved in a second round of interviews. It is believed new coach Jeff Fisher will have control of the team’s 53-man roster.
