Defensive back spent first seven seasons of his career in Buffalo. Joe Fortenbaugh
Released by the Bills on February 11, free agent safety George Wilson didn’t have to wait long to find a new home.
The Tennessee Titans announced on Friday that they have reached an agreement with the 31-year-old safety. Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports via twitter that it’s a two-year deal worth $4 million, but could reach as high as $5 million due to incentives.
Wilson recorded 12 interceptions and made 55 starts for the Bills during his seven years in Buffalo, including a career-best 16 starts in 2012. He leaves the league’s 22nd-ranked defense—who opted against paying his $2.9 million salary—to join the NFL’s 27th-ranked defense from a year ago.
He should feel right at home.
