New York Giants veteran fullback Henry Hynoski has been activated from the physically unable to perform list, a major sign of progress in his rehabilitation from an offseason knee injury.
A devastating blocker, Hynoski passed his physical and is now eligible to practice.
Hynoski suffered damage to his medial collateral ligament and a chip fracture to his lateral plateau in his left knee, requiring surgery in May.
“I am going to set my mind to being ready for the first game of the regular season," Hynoski said in a statement at the time of the injury.
The Giants also signed rookie offensive tackle Austin Holtz.
