Former New York Giants defensive end Dave Tollefson has retired.
Tollefson played for the Giants from 2007 to 2011, playing on two Super Bowl championship teams. He was out of football last year after spending a final season with the Oakland Raiders.
A former Northwest Missouri State player drafted by the Green Bay Packers, he played for the Raiders before the Giants signed him off the Raiders' practice squad in 2007.
Tollefson had 3.5 sacks in 2008, 13 special teams tackles in 2010 and a career-high five sacks in 2011.
