After spending the first four seasons of his career with the Carolina Panthers, linebacker Dan Connor moved to the NFC East to play with the Dallas Cowboys in 2012. Connor is now on the move again, but he’s opting to remain within the division.

Per Pro Football Talk, the 27-year-old Connor has reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the New York Giants.

Selected by the Panthers in the third round of the 2008 draft, Connor has spent five seasons in the NFL battling injuries and fighting for playing time. The Penn State product has appeared in just 56 of a possible 80 regular season games, making only 27 starts.

Connor’s best season came during a 15-game campaign with the Panthers in 2011 where he amassed 73 tackles and one forced fumble.

In New York, Connor will have the opportunity to start at middle linebacker in between Mathias Kiwanuka and Jacquian Williams. That is, if he can stay healthy.
