Hakeem Nicks has maintained all along he will be ready before the start of the regular season.
The New York Giants wide receiver looks like he is on the mark. The Giants promoted Nicks from the physically unable to perform list today, announcing that he has passed his physical, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
That means Nicks can resume practicing with the club. He has been sidelined since suffering a foot injury in spring that required surgery. Whether or not Nicks will have a role in preseason action remains to be seen. The Giants have 3 ½ weeks until they open the season at home against the Dallas Cowboys. That gives Nicks plenty of time to make sure he’s in football shape.
