The search for a backup quarterback continues for the New York Giants.
Last week, it was revealed that the Giants would work out Josh Freeman this week. Now Matt Flynn's name can be added to the mix, as the NFL Network is reporting he'll work out with the organization on Tuesday with Freeman.
Flynn has had an interesting past two seasons. After standing out with Green Bay as a backup, he signed a three-year, $26 million deal with Seattle in 2012. Then he was beat out by Russell Wilson in training camp and became a backup.
After the season, the Seahawks traded Flynn to Oakland and was beat out by Terrelle Pryor for the starting job.
Flynn re-signed with Green Bay after Oakland released him during the 2013 season and ended up starting four games for Aaron Rodgers, who broke his collarbone. Flynn was effective, throwing for 1,146 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions.
