Groin injury likely to sideline Packers wide receiver Brad Biggs
The Green Bay Packers will likely be without wide receiver Greg Jennings Thursday night when they host the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field.
Jennings is listed as doubtful for the game, according to Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Although the Packers have not ruled the veteran out, it is likely the groin injury he suffered in the final drive of Sunday’s 30-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers will sideline him.
That would be a significant loss for the Packers and force James Jones to play a more prominent role. But consider the Packers scored 35 points against the Bears in Green Bay last season when they met in Week 16 when Jennings was also sidelined.
The Bears are hoping to have cornerback Charles Tillman for the game but he did not practice Tuesday. Tillman suffered a right shin injury in Chicago’s victory over Indianapolis.
