Greg Jennings called it a “bittersweet farewell” in a message he sent to Green Bay Packers fans.
The popular wide receiver took out ads in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Green Bay Press-Gazette to thank the team’s faithful after seven seasons with the organization. Jennings departed last week in free agency, signing with the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.
Jennings says he and his family will forever be indebted to the organization and its fans for the way they were treated.
“Even when gone or simply far away, memories are like a strong emotion,” Jennings wrote. “They seem to somehow stay.”
