It appears that a couple of New England Patriots players drowned their sorrows of losing in the Super Bowl on Sunday by partying shirtless in a photo that surfaced at Deadspin.com.

According to CBSBoston.com, the two Patriots players were at a party where the band LMFAO was playing, as two of Gronkowski's brothers tweeted from the event.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski and offensive tackle Matt Light were shown partying on stage without their shirts. At least Gronkowski, whose play was limited by a high ankle sprain that had his availability even in question, wasn't shown dancing.

Many Patriots players, including receiver Wes Welker, were visibly distraught in the wake of the 21-17 loss to the New York Giants.

But for a couple of guys at least, they found a way to take their mind off their problems. It will be interesting to see whether their teammates approve.

No sense of Occasion I guess, or what the reaction would be to pictures of partying players

If their teammates approve? Who cares... they just lost the superbowl, what, are they supposed to go home and slit their wrists?

So everyone MUST deal with a disappointment the exact same way? That's beyond stupid. At the end of the day, it's just a game and not a contest with lives hanging in the balance. That some of the players on the losing side didn't carry on for a week like women doesn't bother me one bit.

How many of us go out and have a great time after a crappy day/week of work to relieve stress etc? Not to mention it's the last time many of the guys on the team will see each other on the same sideline.

Only the fans act like its the end of the world when their team loses. The only issue I have is Matt Light's look - dude, put your shirt back on.

Lady Football Fan,
A hypersensitive and overly dramatic post probably wasn't the best way to argue that particular point...

Wow I normally come here & I have been for two seasons b/c the articles and comments tend not to insult my intelligence.

But I guess there are exceptions to every rule.

Finally... a non-story that isn't about Tebow or Peyton.

Yeah, big deal. What are you supposed to do when you lose a big game? Sit in the gutter wailing and crying?

If that happened, then this WOULD be a story. Though it didn't. So this isn't.

The fans want you to hear a hair shirt and frown all offseason.

Like another poster said, when fans have a crappy day at work, what do they do? Bend over and repeat "thank you sir, may I have another?"
