Gronkowski questionable for Patriots

New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski is questionable for Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That's an improvement considering he had been doubtful the first two games of the season.

Gronkowski had offseason back and forearm surgeries.

He's been limited in practice all week.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola is douhbtful with a groin injury and has been limited at practice all week.

Special-teams ace Matthew Slate has been declared out with a wrist injury.

Rookie tight end Zach Sudfield is probable with a hamstring injury.

Also listed as questionable: running back Brandon Bolden (knee), offensive guard Dan Connolly (finger), special-teams contributor Nate Ebner (ankle), offensive lineman Will Svitek (knee) and running back Leon Washington (thigh).

The Buccaneers have ruled out defensive tackle Derek Landri (knee), cornerback Michael Adams (knee) and offensive tackle Gabe Carimi (illness).
