The New York Giants are confident Hakeem Nicks will be back before the start of the season.
It certainly looks like the wide receiver is on pace for that.
Nicks, who had surgery to repair his foot in the spring, will run routes today, according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. The next step, per the report, will be to see how Nicks’ foot responds to the work. Nicks did some running on Monday.
The Giants open the regular season in 29 days so Nicks still has time to heal up. Hopefully, he will not suffer any setbacks in the process.
