49ers and Lions coaches get into post-game face-to-face confrontation. National Football Post
The 49ers gave the Lions their first loss of the season. 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh was excited about the team’s win. During his celebration, Harbaugh crossed the field toward Lions’ coach Jim Schwartz and exchanged a handshake. Harbaugh then continued his celebration. At first, Schwartz ignored Harbaugh, but then Schwartz ran toward Harbaugh, reportedly bumped into him and yelled at him. Players rushed into the mix with officials being forced to get in between the two teams and coaches.
After the game, Schwartz addressed the media and said that a shove and an obscenity provoked the scuffle. Details of the scuffle are still being sorted out.
