Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is returning to his role as CEO of Pilot Flying J, the chain of gas stations and convenience stores founded by his family.

Haslam said he is returning to his "first love," according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel. He had stepped aside from his duties as chairman of the company to devote his time to the Browns after purchasing the team last fall from Randy Lerner.

But now with Haslam back devoted to the oil and gas business, it means that Joe Banner, whom Haslam brought on board when he purchased the club, will oversee the operation of the Browns on a day-to-day basis.
