The Jacksonville Jaguars have resumed talks with veteran defensive end Reggie Hayward, a development that could result in a deal, according to the Florida Times-Union.
The Jaguars had pulled an offer to Hayward two weeks ago, but have since started up negotiations again.
Hayward spent the majority of the year on injured reserve last season after breaking his leg in the opening game.
Hayward, 31, has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons, but is a solid pass rusher when he's healthy.
Six years ago while playing for the Denver Broncos, Hayward registered a career-high 10 1/2 sacks.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder has posted 39 1/2 career sacks and 174 tackles in nine NFL seasons.
