Former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton has joined the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced.
"Thank you chicago for the best 5 years of my life!" Melton wrote on Twitter. "I can't wait to begin the next chapter of my life... With a star on my helmet.
Melton visited the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings.
He replaces Jason Hatcher, who signed with the Washington Redskins.
Melton played for Cowboys defensive line coach Rod Marinelli previously with the Bears.
