Houston coach Bill O’Brien made his first significant move by firing all of the remaining assistant coaches on staff, according to a report by FOX Sports. O’Brien, who was hired this week to replace Gary Kubiak, is expected to bring in several coaches he has worked with in the past, particularly from New England.
The most prominent person on the Houston staff who was let go is defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who will likely be of interest to several teams for the same position.
