Elway's public chase of Manning not a vote of confidence for current starter. Terry McCormick
The Denver Broncos' courtship of Peyton Manning on Friday leads to the very pertinent question of what does all this mean for Tim Tebow?
Denver Post columnist Mark Kiszla believes that a successful bid for Manning by Broncos vice president and Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway is the end for Tebow in orange and navy blue.
Worse yet, if Manning winds up in Arizona, Miami, Seattle or anywhere else other than Denver, how do the Broncos go about explaining things to Tebow, whom Elway, John Fox and the entire organization has already decreed to be the 2012 starter entering training camp?
There is no doubt Tebow is still very much a work in progress, despite his heroics over the second half of the season and in the playoffs. He still needs a lot of work. Manning, of course, is already the complete package, provided that package isn't damaged goods due to his four neck procedures over the past couple of years.
Stay tuned, things are getting interesting in Denver, no matter which way Manning decides to go from his weekend visit there.
