He got 3rd round grade from advisory committee Brad Biggs
For a player who got a third-round grade from the draft advisory committee when he considered leaving school early, Corey Liuget has done just fine for himself.
Liuget projects now to be a first-round draft pick and that is the way it is looking after he was officially invited to attend the draft later this month in New York. Liuget told Bob Asmussen of the Champaign News-Gazette the news.
As Liuget told us last month following his pro day, he’s packing his bags.
“I definitely would go,” Liuget said. “I would love to go. I am going to go if I get the invite. Yes, I will go.”
Liuget’s an interesting prospect. The Chicago Bears look to be interested in him and they hold the 29th overall pick. He could be ticketed to go higher than that in the draft. New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell attended the Illini pro day.
