The New York Jets got a double dose of the injury bug in Friday's practice.

Wide receiver Derrick Mason was seen limping during practice, although he did return to watch the remainder of practice from the sideline.

Also, backup quarterback Mark Brunell apparently was injured as well, pulling up lame during a drill, according to ProFootballTalk.

The Jets are not exactly in a youth movement, as Mason is 37 and Brunell, who will, in fairness, be watching Mark Sanchez barring something catastrophic happening, is 40. But with having so many older players, even small injuries are more of a concern because they sometimes take longer to bounce back from.

Not even Rex Ryan's bravado can intimidate Father Time.
