Injury-plagued Bills to work out Leinart, Beck

The Buffalo Bills are in dire straits at quarterback with veteran Kevin Kolb possibly concussed and rookie EJ Manuel recuperating from knee surgery.

So, they need reinforcements and will audition Matt Leinart and John Beck soon, according to FOX Sports.

The only health quarterback on the roster is undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel.

"For practice, we only have one arm," Bills general manager Doug Whaley said. "We have guys back home beating the pavement right now to try and scour."

The Bills hope Manuel can return soon, perhaps in time for the opener.

"That's what I'm hoping for," Bills coach Doug Marrone said. "He was with us on the field the other day, just watching and observing. I think you just have to wait for that period where the doctor says, 'OK, here's where we are,' because people recover so differently from minor stuff."
