It’s going to be a relatively slow day on the workout front.

Only a few schools are hosting their annual pro day workouts on Monday, most likely due to the fact that the NFL owner’s meetings are currently taking place in Orlando, Fla.

But just because Monday is short on schools doesn’t mean it’s short on talent.

Prospects from the 11-2 Iowa Hawkeyes will be in action in Iowa City today for a slew of NFL personnel expected to be in attendance.

Some of the notable participants include offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga, tight end Tony Moeaki, linebackers Pat Angerer and A.J. Edds and cornerback Amari Spievey.

In addition to the Hawkeyes, North Carolina A&T will host a pro day workout as well.

Bulaga looks to be a great prospect. Iowa always produces players that are very sound in terms of technique and Bulaga seems to be right on in that regard. I would love to see him drop to pick number 23 for the Pack though I don't expect that for a OT. But I don't expect him to go top 10 either. But who knows, maybe the Browns really aren't looking for a qb in the first round, they are looking for someone to protect the qb's backside?

Amari Spievey is the real gem of this Hawkeye class. Bulaga gets the headlines, but Speivey will be a rpo bowl caliber player for whatever team that picks him in the 3rd round. His speed numbers at the combine were solid, and those numbers translate to tight coverage in games. And there isn't a more sure tackler at CB in this draft.

Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, and former American Strongman competitor, Chris Doyle, is the Hawkeyes not so secret weapon. Doyle's tutaledge included the Patriots; S&C coach, Mike Woicik(6 Super Bowl rings:Cowboys/Pats), and the multi-sport discipline functional training guru, Michael Boyle. Doyle, emphasizes explosiveness in his training and you can see that in the Hawkeye players' vertical's. Doyle, is one of the reasons Iowa consistently outperfroms it's recruiting ranking and puts so many former lightly recruited prep players into the NFL.

maybe the Donkies should WIN before telling ANYONE what they want...I was always under the assumption that Monday night games are for WINNING teams...not Donkies v Faiders!
