Is DeSean Jackson the latest to bolt for Jay Z?

Looks like relatively unknown football agent Kim Miale could have another big-time client soon.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has parted ways with veteran agent Drew Rosenhaus and Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that he could be headed to Jay Z’s new Roc Nation Sports outfit. That is the one that employs Miale as Jay Z is not a certified agent.

Geno Smith, who dumped his agent after a freefall in the April draft, has already aligned with Jay Z. He’s just starting out. Jackson signed an extension with the Eagles in March 2012 after his contract was a distraction throughout the 2011 season. Jackson got a $51 million, five-year contract but the devil is in the details. Only $15 million of that was guaranteed.

Jackson doesn’t have a lot of protection after this season and so perhaps that is why he is shopping for a new agent. We’ll see if he lands with Jay Z and Miale later this week.
