Jacoby Jones' off-season included a spot on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," but the initial part of his 2013 training camp won't include any football, per Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
Jones did not pass his conditioning test at the start of camp, which caused the Ravens to put him on the non-football injury list. However, Ravens coach John Harbaugh expects Jones to return soon.
"I would be very surprised if he isn't (back soon)," Harbaugh said. "He's really close on it."
Harbaugh, who was initially reluctant for Jones to partake in the TV show, eventually made allowances for it, even though he missed time in the off-season to appear on the program. On Tuesday, Harbaugh did not blame Jones' off-season endeavors for failing the test, but said the receiver should have passed the test.
"I would never make any excuses for him," Harbaugh said. "He should pass it, but he's battling. We'll see, it's up to him. It's his job to do. That's the facts. Facts are stubborn things."
