The Jacksonville Jaguars and kicker Josh Scobee have beat the deadline and agreed to a contract, according to the Florida Times-Union.
The deal is for four years and comes just two hours before the 4 p.m. EDT deadline. Had a deal not been reached, Scobee would have played for the $2.88 million franchise tender.
UPDATE: NFL.com reports the deal is worth $14.2 million total.
