The Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed quarterback Mike Kafka off waivers from the New England Patriots.
Kafka, who was out of the league last year after being a fourth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010, signed with the Patriots in January, but was released Monday to clear a spot for New England to add Tim Tebow. Kafka's agent, Mike McCartney, tweeted the news of the claim.
The Jags are making a habit of sifting through the Patriots' trash can looking for treasure, as Jacksonville has already added three discards from New England in Kyle Love, Brandon Deaderick and Jeremy Ebert.
Kafka now heads to Jacksonville where he joins Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne and rookies Matt Scott and Jordan Rodgers.
