Jaguars hire defensive quality control coach

The Jacksonville Jaguars hired Dan Shamash as defensive quality control coach.

Shamash spent the past two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He was a coaching assistant his first season and spent last season as quality control assistant to the head coahc.

Shamash was an offensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns for two seaosns under Eric Mangini. He was a defensive assistant with Columbia in 2008 while also spending time in the game operations and special events department for the New York Jets.

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Shamash was a three-year letterman at linebacker.
