Jaguars place Daryl Smith on IR recall

Linebacker sidelined with groin injury. Terry McCormick

The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed linebacker Daryl Smith on injured reserve and given him the designation for recall later in the season.

Smith is out with a groin injury, but has been a workhorse for the Jaguars, starting in 122 games since being a second-round pick in 2004.
