The Denver Broncos signed seventh-round rookie linebacker Jammie Kirlew to a four-year, $1.84 million contract, according to a league source.

Kirlew received a signing bonus of roughly $50,000.

Drafted 232nd overall out of Indiana, the 6-foot-3, 264-pounder was a two-time All-Big Ten Conference selection.

Kirlew tied for third on the school’s all-time sacks list with 23 sacks and tied for second on its all-time tackles for loss list with 52 1/2.

As a senior, he tied for sixth in the nation with five forced fumbles in addition to posting three fumble recoveries, 62 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks as a second-team all-conference choice.
