Redskins ship former starter to Oakland. Joe Fortenbaugh

The Oakland Raiders continue to turn to upgrade their roster.

Michael Smith of ESPN.com is reporting that the Washington Redskins have traded quarterback Jason Campbell to the Raiders.

Feel free to shoot off the fireworks, Oakland fans. The JaMarcus Russell era may finally be coming to an end.

Update (1:12pm eastern):  Adam Schefter of ESPN.com is reporting that the Redskins have acquired the Raiders' fourth-round pick in the 2012 draft in exchange for Campbell).
