Jason Peters has some positive momentum going for him as he prepares to head to training camp.

First, he wiggled his way out of trouble in Louisiana following an arrest for drag racing last month. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Peters paid a $656.50 fine for driving with an illegal muffler. Originally, he was charged with drag racing, drag racing on a public road, and resisting by flight after an officer had to pursue him at speeds of more than 100 mph following what police said was a road race.

Then, per the report, Peters won nearly $2 million to settle a civil lawsuit vs. Kline & Specter, the manufacturer of Roll-A-Bout alternative crutches. Peters claimed the device he was using following surgery to repair a ruptured tendon failed and he re-injured the tendon as a result.

Peters missed the entire 2012 season but he returned to action in the spring and the plan is for him to man the left tackle spot.
