Jay Cutler was sacked seven times in the first meeting with the Green Bay Packers this season and the Chicago Bears quarterback has been on the run much from defenders much of the season.

Cutler’s mobility will be a question in Sunday’s rematch with the Packers at Soldier Field because he is dealing with a sprained MCL, according to an NFL source. It’s a mild injury and there is no doubt Cutler will start for the Bears, but he was limited in practice on Thursday and the Bears said if the team had practiced on Wednesday, he would not have participated.

The team said a neck injury was the reason why Cutler was knocked out of the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings after a high-low hit from defensive linemen Everson Griffen and Jared Allen.

Does Bears coach Lovie Smith have concerns about the quarterback’s mobility?

"None at all," Smith said. "He practiced without any trouble at all. He should be fine."

Cutler was knocked out of the NFC Championship Game loss to the Packers two years ago with an MCL injury. This one is not as serious.
