Bears quarterback Jay Cutler tore his groin and is expected to miss at least four weeks worth of football, the organization announced Monday.
Cutler was in the midst of playing some of his best football this season. He and receiver Brandon Marshall have excellent chemistry, which has given defenses headaches all season.
Now, Josh McCown will fill in for as long as Cutler's sidelined. McCown played well in relief on Sunday but that was against a Redskins defense that is among the league's worst.
Don't be surprised if the Bears look to rely a little more on Matt Forte and the running game with Cutler missing time.
