When Jay Cutler's healthy, he'll be Chicago's starting quarterback.
Bears coach Marc Trestman confirmed this to reporters a day after backup quarterback Josh McCown threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran in a touchdown.
McCown has had a lot of success filling in for Cutler. Monday night's win over the Cowboys was McCown's third consecutive game with over 300 passing yards. For the season he's thrown 13 touchdowns to just one interception.
Yes, Cutler's the guy when he's ready to play. But McCown deserves a lot of praise for the performance he's had in the seven games he's been asked to play in.
