Dolphins general manager asked wide receiver if his mother was a prostitute Aaron Wilson
Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland has issued an apology to Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Ireland asked Bryant if his mother had been a prostitute during his official predraft visit, a flap that offended the wide receiver and was first reported by Yahoo! Sports. Bryant's mother has been convicted of dealing drugs and has served time in jail.
“My job is to find out as much information as possible about a player that I’m consider drafting,” said Ireland, who has also spoken to Bryant about his tough line of questioning. “Sometimes that leads to asking in-depth questions
“Having said that, I talked to Dez Bryant and told him I used poor judgment in one of the questions I asked him. I certainly meant no disrespect and apologized to him. I appreciate his acceptance of that apology and I told him I wished him well as he embarks on his NFL career.”
